I, too love the photo cards. I think my favorite card that I have given was when my oldest was born we scanned his newborn footprint onto the computer and then printed the image on cream cards. The grandparents were especially happy to have a print of his sweet little footprint.

My very favorite cards come from my family, my grown children!…
My daughter is an artist, a painter, and her “card” to me is personal, hand painted, and truly a work of art!! I love these! (My birthday card from her was a small version on paper, of a huge canvas painting that I admired that was in her solo exhibition in Manhattan this fall!)
My oldest son and dear daughter-in-law’s “card” is a calendar that they create! They use pictures of their two sons throughout the year, with notes for special times… Seeing my grandsons’ pictures on each month’s calendar, with the special notes, makes this a “card” that I enjoy every day, all year long!!

I agree, Maria, that the handmade cards are the best, the most personal!
If I don’t have time to make a quilted postcard or pieced “card” for everyone on my list, I will hand paint or print a design on blank card stock. Simple is often the most beautiful, personal, and heartfelt!

My most memorable christmas’s is where they day is spent with family and close friends just relaxing and enjoying the day.

Many of my friends’ families are growing, so I do love to see the photos. I especially appreciate when they write a little note on the back too!

I enjoy digital scrapbooking so I have been using it to make our cards to send out. I *still* haven’t sent this year’s cards out, but I’m planning on printing the scrapped images and then affixing them to the front of blank cards so it’s easier to write a message inside.
