Hi Maria, I too am impressed with Quilts of Valor, Marine Quilts, Home of the Brave Quilt Project, etc that makes quilts for wounded soldiers and families of the fallen and The Hugs Project that makes the neck coolers and ships 3-4000 Christmas packages to the troops Dec 3.

All profits from my new book "Thanking Our Troops--God Bless America Touring Quilts" and the $100 exhibit rental fee (free to military and veteran groups) go to groups like QOV, Hugs, HOTB who make quilts for wounded soldiers.

We're still taking 22x22" patriotic quilts and larger to tour with the 218 quilts. Some are on the way to Camp Striker Stables in Baghdad, Iraq to cheer troops over the holidays.

See www.HeavenlyPatchwork for quilt photos, entry and rental forms. sample stories, calendar and ordering info. This full-color coffee-table book makes a great Christmas gift for patriotic friends and family, military and quilters alike.

Thank you so much for organizing a great way to make a Quilt of Valor. And for committing to cover a soldier.
